Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Pistari is an app by Logic4Learn, a brand of FLADE LLC, the controller of the data described in this policy. If you have questions about privacy, write to us at info@logic4learn.com.

2. What data we collect

Pistari collects the minimum data needed for the app to work:

• Anonymous identifier: when you install the app we generate a unique anonymous ID to sync your progress. It is not linked to you personally unless you choose to link an email.
• Email (optional): if you choose to link an email, we store it to send you the sign-in code and so you can recover your progress and purchases on another phone. No newsletters, no marketing.
• Public player name and country (optional): if you choose to join the leaderboard, we store the player name you pick and your country (estimated from your connection; you can change it). Both are shown publicly — see section 5.
• Game progress: which puzzles you solved, time, errors, hints used, milestones and streaks. It lives in your account for syncing.
• Purchases: what you bought and when. No payment data — that is handled exclusively by Apple/Google.
• Usage and diagnostic events: which screens you visit, how long you take to solve, where you drop off, device model and OS, language, and errors if the app fails. Tied to your anonymous identifier, not to your email.
• Approximate location: country and region derived from your IP address, to suggest your country for the leaderboard and group statistics by region. We never use GPS or precise location.

3. Providers we use

They process data on our behalf under contract; none may use it for their own purposes.

4. How we use your data

We use the data exclusively to:

• Make the app work (sync, purchases, account recovery).
• Improve the app (understanding what works and what doesn't).
• Respond to your support requests if you write to us.
• Comply with legal obligations if any apply.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes. We do not show advertising.

5. The public leaderboard and notifications

If you choose to join the leaderboard, your player name and country are shown publicly to all Pistari users alongside your points. Your email and identifier are never shown. You can change your name from your profile, and leave the leaderboard by deleting your account (section 6). The leaderboard also includes a few house players, marked with a badge, that keep the board active.

Notifications: only if you turn them on, we remind you once a day that a new case is available. They are scheduled on your device (we send no remote notifications) and you can turn them off from your profile or the system settings.

6. Your rights and how to delete your account

Regardless of your jurisdiction, you can access your data, correct it, delete it, export it in a readable format and object to processing.

• Delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete my account. Your progress, points, hints, leaderboard entry and, if linked, your email are erased immediately. It is irreversible.
• Delete your account on the web: if you no longer have the app, follow the instructions at Delete your account.
• Your purchases are not lost: they remain tied to your Apple ID or Google account and can be restored if you reinstall.
• Access, correction, export: write to info@logic4learn.com. We answer within 30 days.
• Analytics: you can withdraw consent by deleting your account or writing to us.

7. How long we keep data

Anonymous accounts inactive for 12 months are deactivated and permanently deleted after 24 months. Accounts with an email are kept until you delete them. Analytics data is kept for up to 24 months.

8. Children

Pistari is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are the guardian of a minor who used the app and you want us to delete their data, please write to us.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (TLS), database access control, access auditing. However, no system is 100% impenetrable.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will notify you in the app or by email (if you have one linked). Substantial changes require your acceptance if they affect data already collected.

11. Applicable legal framework

This policy is designed to comply with the main data protection regulations applicable to Pistari users, regardless of your country of residence:

• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) — for users in the European Economic Area. All rights in Section 5 apply to you; you can file complaints with your country's supervisory authority (ICO in the UK, CNIL in France, AEPD in Spain, etc.). Logic4Learn acts as data controller.
• CCPA / CPRA (California Consumer Privacy Act) — for California residents. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA — Pistari does not commercialize information or do advertising tracking.
• LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados) — for users in Brazil. You have the same rights listed in Section 5 and can file complaints with the ANPD.
• COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) — Pistari is not directed at children under 13 (see Section 6). If we discover that a child under that age created an account without parental consent, we will delete the data.
• Other frameworks — where stricter local laws apply (UK GDPR, PIPEDA in Canada, APP in Australia, etc.), we respect those rights too. If you have questions about your specific jurisdiction, write to info@logic4learn.com.

This policy does not constitute legal advice. It is a good-faith declaration of how we treat your data. If a regulatory authority requires specific adjustments, we will make them without delay.
