Pistari is a logic deduction game starring real historical figures: a new free case every day and 720 puzzles across 9 themes.

One paragraph — for newsletters and short pieces

Pistari is a logic deduction puzzle game whose protagonists are real historical figures — Marie Curie, Tesla, Hitchcock, Faraday. You cross-reference the clues, mark a relational grid and close the case; every solved puzzle reveals a true piece of trivia about one of its protagonists. There's a new free case every day and 720 puzzles across 9 themes and 3 difficulties. No ads, no timers, no lives and no subscriptions. Developed by Logic4Learn, an independent studio.

Three paragraphs — for press and the web press kit

Pistari is a logic deduction game for iPhone. The player gets a handful of clues about four or five real historical figures and has to work out, by cross-referencing a relational grid, which attribute belongs to each: the country they were born in, the field they worked in, the era they worked in. Nothing is guessed — every cell is either deduced or ruled out.

What sets Pistari apart from other games in the genre is the content: all 63 figures are real, each one individually illustrated, and every closed case reveals a verified piece of trivia about one of them (that Faraday turned down a knighthood, that Marie Curie's notebooks are still radioactive). The player finishes the round knowing something they didn't know before.

The game offers a new free case every day, rotating across the nine themes, and 720 puzzles in total for anyone who wants to keep going: scientists, classic cinema, composers, Olympic athletics, food, geography, history, literature and countries, each with 80 puzzles across three difficulties. The model is a one-time purchase per theme (or full access): no ads, no subscriptions, no timers and no lives. You can play without creating an account.

Fact sheet

What makes Pistari different

The angles for a story.

The figures are real, and the reward is knowing something.

It isn't “solve the grid, move to the next one”: every closed case opens a figure's file with a verified piece of trivia. You collect knowledge, not stickers.

A new free case every day, no catch.

It isn't a demo or a clipped section: it's a complete, different puzzle, every day, at the difficulty you choose.

Pure deduction.

No luck, no clock against you, no energy that refills. The only pressure is your own.

No ads, no subscriptions.

One-time purchase per theme. Anyone who doesn't want to pay plays the daily case forever.

Designed for adults.

Restrained visuals, careful typography, light and dark mode, and a points economy that rewards solving clean: the Flawless case seal is earned with no mistakes and no hints.

Independent studio, three languages from day one.

Rioplatense Spanish, English and Brazilian Portuguese, with historical content adapted to each.

How to play

For anyone who has never seen a logic grid.

Four figures, two or three categories (country, field, era), and between six and ten clues along the lines of “Serbia corresponds to Electricity” or “Galileo is linked to neither Germany nor Faraday”. You mark each grid intersection as confirmed or ruled out; every confirmation sorts its row and its column. When the grid is complete you tap Verify: if it's right, the case closes and the trivia appears. If there are mistakes, the game tells you how many — not which — and every failed verification costs points. Hints reveal one correct cell and also cost points: using them is a decision, not a surrender button.

Difficulties

Easy (4 figures × 2 categories) · Medium · Hard (up to 5 × 3, played with the phone in landscape).

Progression

Milestones every 8 puzzles on a path (+500 points and +5 hints) · weekly streak with freezes so one missed day doesn't break it · weekly, monthly and all-time leaderboards, global and by country, always optional.

Attributable quotes

For use in stories — adapt them to your voice.

I wanted a game where the reward for thinking was learning something true. Every Pistari case ends with a real fact about a person who existed.

No timers, no lives, no ads. If someone wants to think about a grid for twenty minutes, let them think about it for twenty minutes.

The daily case is free forever. If you like the game enough to want more, the rest is there — with no subscription.

Press FAQ

01 Is it an educational game?

It's a logic game whose content is historical. It doesn't teach a curriculum; it leaves you true facts after every round. It works just as well for someone who only wants to solve grids.

02 How are the puzzles generated?

A custom generator produces grids with a unique solution and validates them by pure deductive solving (no guessing), calibrating difficulty by the number and type of inferences required. The content — who the figures are, what attributes they have, which piece of trivia belongs to them — is curated.

03 Is there multiplayer?

No. There are optional leaderboards (weekly, monthly, all-time; global and by country) for anyone who wants to compete on points.

04 What data does it collect?

You can play without an account. If a player links an email, it's only to recover their progress. There's product analytics tied to an anonymous identifier, and approximate country is estimated by IP for the leaderboards. No ads, no cross-app tracking. Full policy: logic4learn.com/en/pistari/privacy.html

05 Can the account be deleted?

Yes, from inside the app in two taps, and everything is deleted immediately.
